Guidelines for Hosting the 2-Day Exploring the Afterlife Workshop

  1. Pick a date and a backup date for your workshop, then contact Bruce to confirm availability.
  2. Secure a facility in which to hold your workshop. It must have: enough seating capacity for the size group you anticipate; bathrooms facilities; and be available from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the days of your workshop. Averages costs are usually in the neighborhood of $100 to $200 per day.
  3. Advertise:
  1. Get the word out. Put up flyers on bulletin boards at bookstores, coffee shops, grocery stores, Laundromats, recreation centers, libraries, churches and other places frequented by people with an interest in knowing about the Afterlife. Experience shows that folks will often remove a flyer pinned to a bulletin board to have something to remind them of the event. Sometimes it's more effective to leave a small stack of pamphlets near the bulletin board. It is also helpful to jot down the locations of your flyers and visit once in a while to restock pamphlets or pin up a new flyer. Suggested wording for pamphlets is located below.
  2. b) Your workshop's location and date will be posted on the Afterlife Knowledge Website as soon as it's scheduled. Any inquiries received at the Website that are near your location will be forwarded to you. In addition, Bruce will email a personal note to those who inquire, inviting them to attend your workshop.

  3. Your flyer should include information for those interested in getting in touch with you. Your phone number and email address are two of the easiest to use.
  4. You'll want to send a registration packet to those who express interest in attending your workshop. Examples are below. The last page should have a map, written directions to the workshop location and a list of motels (with their phone numbers) in close proximity to the workshop location. The map can be hand drawn as long as it legible and readable. If you have a scanner available it is often convenient to scan one page with your map, directions and motel information into a file you can email to participants.
  1. Meals
  2. Each day of the workshop includes a morning and afternoon break. Plan on providing soft drinks and snacks for these breaks. It is your choice whether to provide a lunch time meal or use a long lunch break time for participants to find a restaurant. Experience shows that participants appreciate being able to stay at the workshop facility to talk informally with the speaker and other participants. And it is much easier to remain on schedule if participants don't leave for lunch. The lunch meal can be simple, sandwiches, chips, fruit and soft drinks work well. Allowing approximately $5 per person for this cost has worked well in the past.

  3. You can use an incentive to encourage early registration. This is typically done by reducing the price to participants who register before a specific date.
  4. Once you have enough participants registered to break even on the workshop costs you're ready to prepare your purchasing list for food and beverages and know you are one the way to hosting a workshop.
  5. Costs, Two Day, How to Explore the Afterlife Workshop

Bruce requires $180 per person, plus travel and accommodation expenses for a workshop. Your own attendance at the workshop is free. After the workshop has been scheduled, contact Bruce to work out the arrival and departure dates for your purchase of the airline ticket. To reduce these costs he is willing to stay at your home for the duration of the workshop; therefore, no accommodations costs are used in the table below. The workshop is advertised on the Afterlife Knowledge website at a price of $250 per person with $275 for late registrations.

  1. Tips

a) A calculation, using the information in the above table, shows it takes a minimum of about nine participants to break even on your workshop. That's why the minimum number of participants for Bruce's workshop is ten.

b) Priceline.com can be a source of very reasonable airfares. Often an offer to pay the 21 day advance purchase fare, as little as 7 days before traveling, will be accepted. While you'll always get the best fares by purchasing as far in advance of travel as possible, Priceline.com can be a life saver.

c) To reduce travel costs, you might consider using your frequent flyer miles to purchase Bruce's airline ticket.

d) To ensure the highest attendance rate from prospective participants, collect their payment as early as possible. Offer a full refund if notification is received two weeks prior to the workshop date. After that date, reduce the refund by an amount that will cover the canceling participant's share of your costs for the facility and airfare which is approximately $25. It's best to print your cancellation policy on the registration form so prospective participants know it will cost them $25 to cancel after the deadline date.

e) Many people prefer to pay for workshops using a credit card. If you don't have that capability, Bruce offers this service at a nominal charge. Discuss this with him before printing your flyers and pamphlets so you can offer it to prospective participants from the beginning.

Thanks for your interest in hosting an Exploring the Afterlife Workshop, enjoy your adventure!

Learn to Explore the Afterlife

An Afterlife Knowledge Workshop

By Author: Bruce Moen

Voyages Into the Unknown, Voyage Beyond Doubt, and Voyages Into the Afterlife

A weekend of learning how to explore the Afterlife through lecture and group exercises.

This two-day workshop is a mixture of sharing my experiences exploring the Afterlife and teaching, in group exercises, the simple, practical techniques I use. I am neither a medium nor a psychic who communicates with deceased loved ones for you. The intent of this workshop is to teach you how to do this yourself.

In addition to about twelve hours of classroom format instruction, time is allotted for open, group discussion. I am also available for individual discussion. You'll get a lot more out of this workshop if you've read my books prior to attending.

Workshop Description

In this twelve hour workshop, I share my experiences and teach all of the simple techniques I've developed. I'll describe:

How to explore nonphysical realities including the Afterlife.

How to become aware of Guidance.

How to use imagination as a sense like sight and hearing to perceive within nonphysical realities, with group exercises.

The role of pretending & fantasy in real perception.

How to tell if it's real or you're making it up.

How to perceive and remember your experience.

How to place Intent, as an auto-pilot for experience, with group exercises.

The role of beliefs, doubt & identity.

Integrating experience for ever-widening perception.

How to change old, outdated beliefs.

A review of the Afterlife landscape.

Soul retrieval, how and why it's done.

How to contact deceased loved ones.

Guidelines for the novice Ghostbuster.

Unconditional Love's role in expanding awareness.

Places you might discover in your Afterlife explorations.

And more.

Cost

The price for this workshop is $250 if paid two weeks before the workshop date, $275 thereafter. You may pay by check or money order, or online, visit www.HealingShop.com to pay by credit card.
